Loving A Spouse God’s Way

In considering relationships of the past, I realize that those that were worth my time always had God at the center. Now that I’m married, when I consider the highs and the lows of marriage, there is no way we could have made it without God. We need Jesus to be the third strand holding us together.

Furthermore, we are all in need of grace. I’m a terrible person without God. In fact, I am a still a terrible person with God….but His Holy Spirit buries my shortcomings, covers my sinful flesh and helps me bear the fruit of the Spirit. Without God, I would not be able to love my husband properly because I am flawed. Therefore, in order to love my husband, I need God. We need God.
