God Loves You Most

Today, I am reminded that it is truly God truly loves us most. There have been times in my life when my heart has aching for a relationship. And I thought that if I could just find that special someone, then the void in my heart would disappear. There have been other times when I have been so head over heels for someone, that I forgot what mattered most. I think both extremes are dangerous.

As I reflect on Good Friday, I am reminded what true love looks like. It is selfless. It is sacrificial. And it never ends. I’ve learned over the course of my life that there truly is no greater love than God. And though I often speak of relationships, courtship and marriage; I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the breadth and magnitude of God’s love.

In the quest for “forever”, let us never for sake the one who loves our soul. The one who created us. The one who gave His life for us.  God’s word is true. “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13.

Jesus did it. He is the greatest love.
