Celibacy is a great thing

When you are seeking to follow God with your love life, you have to speak positive words of affirmation. In other words, not matter what the situation looks like, you have to speak over yourself with what it should look like. So, even if you are yearning to have sex or lusting after someone, by the power of God, you can speak those things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17).  You don’t have to return to the same pattern of sex and dating. You can be renewed in your mind to embrace a new thing: celibacy. Now repeat after me, “I love CELIBACY!” That’s your affirmation. Say until you believe it. Keep praying for grace, set up accountability, and avoid the late night calls. Even if you’ve been faithfully waiting and you’re ready to throw in the towel, remember God is faithful to His promises. He sees your sacrifice and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). So, ask God for strength as you surrender your sex life to Him daily.
