Purity is Not Just for Thirteen Year Olds

Loved this message from Time Warp Wife. It reminds us that purity is not something that’s reserved for thirteen year olds. It’s a lifelong journey – even after you say “I do.” It’s about guarding your eyes, your hearts, your minds and your souls. That means watching the things you see, listen to and entertain. Before marriage, for Christians, the focus is on preserving sex for marriage. But after marriage, it about preserving your heart for your spouse. Practically in marriage, that means shutting down conversations with that co-worker who is a little too interested in you. Or blocking calls from that persistent ex who is “just calling to say hi”. It’s not allowing your eyes to linger too long on that person you find attractive. And reserving your sexual expression for your spouse. Purity is good – no matter what stage of life you’re in. If your single, know that the things you do (or don’t do) now will transfer to marriage. That’s why purity is something we all can embrace.
