30 Year Old Virgin….Do Those Still Exist?

I enjoyed reading blogger Nikki in the City’s article about being a 30 year old virgin. Yes, those are words that I intentionally strung together: thirty-year-old-virgin. It’s not an oxymoron. There are people out there who are faithfully waiting on marriage before they take the plunge to have sex. Despite popular belief, there are those who value waiting for holy matrimony before getting busy – and if you’re in that boat – I want you to know it’s ok. Your stance may not be the norm, but you shouldn’t shy away from it. It’s ironic that society will try to ridicule you when you’re not doing it and celebrate you when you are doing it. Peculiar. That’s what you are…..but not in a bad way. God says being different makes you special, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9). Don’t run from it. Peculiar is ok. Check out Nikki’s story here: http://goo.gl/71IiLx
